BENTON-earths bleaching earth are key processing aids for edible oil refineries and bio-fuel processors, designed to produce clear, clean and stable outputs. The range is organised into three families: Natural, Performa, and Ultima. Products originate from selective mineral deposits in Kutch and North Karnataka, chosen for high surface area and micro-pore volume suited to removing chlorophyll, colour bodies, soaps and other impurities.

Natural

Natural family products use the clay’s inherent properties to adsorb impurities and protect the nutritional value of the oil. They are intended for easy to bleach edible oils such as CPO, CPL, corn, canola, sunflower, coconut and olive.

Naturally mined fullers earth with no acid treatment. Highly effective in removing carotenoids, chlorophyll, peroxides and trace metals from light edible oils.

Performa

Performa are activated bleaching earth made from high quality smectite minerals. Activation breaks chlorophyll chain length for easier adsorption, providing fast filtration and strong removal of carotenoids, chlorophyll, soap traces, peroxides, gums and crop traces. This range is recommended for difficult to bleach edible oils such as soybean, cottonseed and palm kernel.

Acid activated bleaching earth with more than 90 percent activation. High surface area and acidic pH enable effective adsorption.

Ultima

Ultima are specialised bleaching earths designed to purify edible oils and bio-fuels with record-high filtration time, ensuring long filtration cycles and high running efficiency at the plant.

Mid Activated clay of Selectively Smecite group specifically Montmorillonite and Attapulgite. Designed for 3 MCPD and GE removal from the oil during its refining. It removes Chlorophyll effectively. It prevents the formation of chlorine during refining step.
